A tire sales and/or service facility shall be deemed a “Used tire sales and/or service” facility, and not a retail store, when used tires comprise more than ten percent (10%) of the facility’s inventory.|
Use regulations
Used tire sales and/or service establishments are subject to the following: (1) Shall not operate as a scrap tire storage, processing, or recycling facility, unless a permit for such “scrap tire” facility has been issued by the Buildings and Safety Engineering Department; and (2) The sale of used tires requires no separate permit when merely incidental and accessory to a retail store the business of which is the sale of new tires.
